GESPASA gear pumps: EA-90 and EA-88
Compact, reliable and efficient solutions for lubricant supply
The EA-90 and EA-88 gear pumps from GESPASA are designed for safe and
continuous transfer of lubricating oils of medium or low density, with a clear focus on
compact installations, low maintenance and high availability. Their
positive displacement architecture with gears ensures a stable flow and a
linear response to changes in back pressure, making flow control easier in
lubrication lines and integration with meters or management systems. In addition, the
self-priming feature simplifies commissioning: they do not require pre-priming and support
suction up to 2.5 m from above-ground or underground tanks.
EA-90: for mobile or autonomous applications
The EA-90 is intended for mobile or autonomous applications, powered by
12 V or 24 V DC. With a self-ventilated motor of 0.37 kW,
1,500 rpm speed and S1 continuous duty, it delivers a flow rate of 20–25 L/min with
SAE 20/50 W oils at 25 °C. It maintains IP-55 protection against dust and
splashing, and features a recirculation by-pass set to 5–6 bar to protect the
circuit against overpressure. It includes clips for direct connection to a battery with 2 m cable,
speeding up installations on vans, pick-ups or machinery. Typical consumption:
35–55 A (12 VDC) and 20–32 A (24 VDC). Maximum discharge head: 40 m. Inlet/outlet
threads: 1/2″ GAS (BSP).
EA-88: designed for fixed installations
The EA-88 prioritises mains power for fixed installations. Its single-phase
230 VAC, 50/60 Hz motor develops 0.74 kW and delivers the same
flow range (20–25 L/min with SAE 20/50 W at 25 °C), maintaining 1,500 rpm and
IP-55 protection. It incorporates a thermal protector, ON/OFF switch and a 3 m cable
with moulded plug for quick connection. The by-pass system raises the threshold to 9–10 bar,
expanding the operating margin in networks with metering valves or long lines.
Suction capacity up to 2.5 m and discharge head up to 40 m; connections
1/2″ GAS (BSP). For lubricating oils up to 350 cSt, providing versatility for
workshops, industry and public works. Typical consumption: 4–6 A.
Modular design and accessory compatibility
Both models share a philosophy of robust and modular design. Compatibility with
hose reels helps organise the work area and minimise pressure losses in flexible runs,
while integration with electronic or mechanical meters enables supply traceability and
consumption control. In mobile applications, the
EA-90 is supplied in pre-configured kits that include a reel, metering nozzle
and mounting accessories, ideal for field service and fleets requiring
decentralised lubrication. In fixed stations, the EA-88 acts as the
heart of columns and supply units for oil, protecting the
pumping and metering assembly inside weather-ready enclosures.
Recommended application sectors
Agricultural machinery maintenance, civil works equipment, automotive workshops and
industrial vehicles, production lines with lubrication needs, and service tanks
where space and ease of installation are decisive. GESPASA’s
electric gear pumps provide continuous flow with lower maintenance requirements than
pneumatic alternatives, simplifying both installation and daily operation.
Why choose the EA-90 and EA-88?
Because they combine a compact footprint with stable performance, effective self-priming that
reduces installation time, and built-in protection via a by-pass to extend the
service life of valves, nozzles and meters. The EA-90 provides
power independence in 12/24 V for vehicles and remote equipment; the
EA-88 delivers power and availability on 230 V for permanent installations.
In both cases, IP-55 protection, careful construction and compatibility with
industrial-grade accessories translate into reliability, safety and
process control for lubrication operations.
Technical summary
The GESPASA gear pumps, EA-90 and EA-88, are the reference duo for
lubricant transfer of medium- and low-viscosity fluids: flow rate 20–25 L/min, suction up
to 2.5 m and discharge head up to 40 m, with 12/24 VDC or 230 VAC versions to suit
each work environment. Their self-priming design, recirculation by-pass and
natural integration with reels and meters make these pumps a safe investment
for operations seeking continuity, order and accuracy in oil supply.
